Spring 2021 (March-June)

We are happy to see the azaleas and dogwoods come in bloom to welcome Spring!

This means warm weather is on the way and we are getting close to non-stop fishing 🎣. Captain Reid has already started running trips this year and we are ready to book yours.

Pandemic Update

Although still in the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic, you cannot tell by sitting in the Spring Break traffic! Tourists are in-town and we are happy to be booking trips.

Face masks are required by the U.S. Coast Guard on all public vessels this year:

"Conveyance operators to use best efforts to ensure that any person on the conveyance wears a mask when boarding, disembarking, and for the duration of travel.”

Check out this article from the Destin Log to see local reactions to this requirement. We will have face coverings and hand sanitizer on the boat if needed.

Fishing News

Triggerfish season opened March 1st and will remain open through May 31st.

Along with triggers, we are also catching wahoos, mingos, white snapper, and more. The above photos are all from the 2021 season so far.

We hope to start catching cobia in the coming weeks as well.

We should have a finalized update from the FWC regarding Red Snapper season sometime in April.

Recipe of the Season

We recommend utilizing "Cook your catch" this year. It supports local businesses, tastes great, and saves you the dirty dishes. Why not take it to-go back to the rental or for a romantic dinner on the beach? Our favorite restaurants to do this are Dewey's, Brotula's, and Callahan's. Just about every restaurant near the beach offers this service though. Enjoy!

As always, give Captain Reid a call to book your trip at 850-797-7678 and remember to follow us on social media to keep up!
