Spring 2022

It's been a long Winter for the Charter Boat Rewind crew. Rewind has undergone an overhaul of her entire engine room.

The engines were removed in December and have been rebuilt over the past couple months. They will be installed and tested over the coming weeks, just in time for Spring Break. We look forward to smooth running during the coming fishing season!

Spring Fishing

This Spring we're looking forward to a couple seasonal fishing openings.

Triggerfish season opens March 1st-May 31st. We'll start seeing Cobia in early April. Then Greater Amberjack season opens May 1-31st. We'll be fishing for mingos, mackerel, and more in between.

What to Do in Destin

There are local community events throughout the next few months.

Beginning on March 19th, Rock the Docks will take place every Saturday at Harborwalk Village. Baytowne Wharf also hosts a concert series every Wednesday and a weekly "Sunday Cinema" oriented towards children's movies. There aren't many local St. Patrick's Day festivities this year, but it's always fun to celebrate at McGuire's Irish Pub in Destin. St. Patrick's Day is Thursday, March 17th.

Come April, there are a couple festivals and Easter celebrations. The 35th Annual Sandestin Wine Festival takes place the weekend of April 7th. The South Walton Wine and Food Festival is April 22-25. Visit the Easter Bunny at the Destin Harbor on Sunday, April 17th.

In May, the Destin Harbor welcomes the weekly Fat Tuesday parade, every Tuesday through August 13th.

There will be a Memorial Day celebration on May 28th and 29th at Baytowne Wharf.

As we get closer to Summer, there will be more events to come!
